BRAINSTORM Frontman Explains Decision To Stay Off The Road

August 20, 2008

German melodic metal band BRAINSTORM announced on Monday (August 18) that it will stay off the road for the remainder of 2008 in order to concentrate on the songwriting process for the group's next album. The band's vocalist, Andy B. Franck, has since issued the following update:

"Since the latest news, I received tons of e-mails asking me about my health situation. But no, I'm fine! I could walk on walls these days, hahaha. Because of a difficult family situation, Todde's [guitarist Torsten Ihlenfeld] not able to play any live shows for the next months so we decided to spend the time in our rehearsal room, writing new songs for the next album to be released in the fall 2009! But, of course, we we will play many festivals in the spring and summer 2009 to promote the old shit and some new songs as well. So thanx for all the 'best wishes,' but I'm fine."

BRAINSTORM's latest album, "Downburst", registered the following first-week chart positions: Hungary: #15; Germany: #53; Switzerland: #96.

Metal Blade in June 2007 released the first-ever BRAINSTORM DVD, "Honey from the B's (Beasting around the Bush)". The box set was released in digipack format "with special metal effect." The disc entered the Hungarian Music DVD chart at position No. 18.
